Last updated: June 8, 2026

ScanMyHomes (operated by Horizon Digital Group LLC) fully supports the principles of the U.S. Fair Housing Act (42 U.S.C. §§ 3601 et seq.) and all applicable state and local fair housing laws. We are committed to the letter and spirit of U.S. policy for the achievement of equal housing opportunity throughout the nation.

Protected classes

ScanMyHomes prohibits discrimination, harassment, or differential treatment on the basis of any class protected under federal, state, or local law, including:

  • Race
We do not allow listings or content that discriminate based on race.
  • Color
Discrimination based on skin color is prohibited.
  • Religion
Listings may not exclude or prefer based on religion.
  • Sex
Includes gender, gender identity, and sexual orientation where covered by law.
  • National origin
All persons regardless of national origin are welcome.
  • Disability
Reasonable accommodations and accessible housing are protected.
  • Familial status
Families with children under 18 are protected — listings may not exclude children.

Prohibited content

Listings, agent profiles, and any user-generated content may not include language that:

  • Indicates a preference, limitation, or discrimination based on a protected class.
  • Uses exclusionary phrases such as "adults only," "no children," "no disabilities," "Christians only," or references to neighborhood demographics.
  • Steers users toward or away from neighborhoods based on protected characteristics.
  • Excludes Section 8, housing-choice vouchers, or other lawful sources of income where prohibited by local law.

Automated moderation

ScanMyHomes runs automated keyword and pattern checks against every public listing description, agent bio, and marketing field. Listings flagged for potential fair-housing violations are routed to our compliance team for review before publication. Repeated violations may result in account suspension.
