Accessibility Statement

Last updated: June 8, 2026 — Target conformance: WCAG 2.1 Level AA

Our commitment

ScanMyHomes is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people of all abilities. We work to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, and we treat accessibility as an ongoing process — not a one-time project.

Features

  • Full keyboard navigation across pages, dialogs, and forms.
  • Screen-reader support with semantic HTML, ARIA roles, and announced state changes.
  • Visible focus indicators on all interactive elements.
  • Color-contrast ratios meeting WCAG AA in light and dark surfaces.
  • Alt text required on listing photos and informational images.
  • Resizable text up to 200% without loss of content or function.
  • Skip-to-content links on long pages.
  • Form labels, error messages, and inline validation associated with inputs.

Known limitations

Some third-party embeds (maps, payment widgets) inherit the accessibility of their providers. We continuously audit and request fixes from vendors. Listing photos sourced from MLS providers may not always carry vendor-supplied alt text — we generate descriptive alt text where possible.

Feedback & support

If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please contact us at accessibility@scanmyhomes.com and we will respond within five business days. Include the page URL, the issue, and your assistive technology if relevant.

Formal complaints

You may also file a complaint under the Americans with Disabilities Act with the U.S. Department of Justice or, where applicable, your state's civil rights agency.
